Dr. Pinto is a Harvard trained interventional cardiologist. An Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, he has been the Director of the General Cardiology Fellowship Program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center since 2003.
He has advanced training in biostatistics and research design with a Masters in Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health. He is a consultant to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration regarding new vascular device approval.
Dr. Pinto’s clinical expertise is in general and interventional cardiology. He performs endovascular procedures such as complex coronary intervention, peripheral vascular intervention such as carotid artery stenting and structural procedures such as valvuoplasty. He is an investigator in the Corevalve® Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) trial.
